Of moon dust and unplanned highlights

This year I decided not to look back on 2025 through the "most beautiful" images, but through the ones that truly shaped me. It's less about aesthetics and more about the encounters and moments that stayed with me.

One of them happened on a Saturday morning in Esch, during the final rehearsal of DreamteamT21, a dance group for people with Down syndrome. It was all about genuine energy and the joy of dancing. I’ve rarely witnessed such unfiltered zest for life.

Another moment took me to the Moon – well, to the lunar landscape inside the LunaLab at the University of Luxembourg. An artificial environment built for research, and yet it felt strangely real, as if I had actually stepped onto another world.

And then there was the heavy silence at Chloé's grave, the daughter of a family I accompanied for a day. Chloé lost her life in a car accident a few years ago. The driver responsible was held responsible, but despite his reckless behavior on the road, he received only a suspended sentence of 42 months. That scene carved itself into my memory.

I also want to share a few portraits of people I met only briefly. Encounters too fleeting to truly get to know someone – yet intense enough to leave something lasting behind.
