The European elections are just around the corner. A good opportunity to talk to the candidates of the participating parties. This time it's the turn of déi Lénk.

Déi Lénk are realistic. Not even they themselves believe that they will win a seat in the European Parliament. However, European candidate Tania Mousel is convinced that it is a good opportunity to present left-wing politics to a broader public. "It's also about showing that a left-wing voice is important, especially in Luxembourg. As part of the European election campaign, we are currently taking part in many events and are being invited to roundtable discussions, which is not usually the case, " says the 34-year-old librarian and former spokesperson for déi jonk Lénk.

As well as Tania Mousel, as part of our series on the European elections we also spoke to former city councillor Ana Correia da Veiga (41) and Anastasia Iampolskaia (22), who is currently studying political science in Maastricht.

This is the first time that the three women have stood as candidates in European elections, although all three have run in national and local elections in the past, Ana Correia da Veiga even several times.
