In mid-June, Lex Delles succeeded Corinne Cahen at the head of the DP, who did not run again after two terms in office. The Mondorf resident was elected as the new party leader with a result of over 98 per cent of the votes.

Lex Delles was once the youngest mayor and youngest député-maire and is still the youngest member of the government. For a little over a month now, the 38-year-old has also been DP president, but no longer the youngest; that was Claude Meisch almost 20 years ago, who took over the party presidency at the age of 33.

Especially after the difficult time caused by the corona pandemic and in the current international context, it is important to support businesses, also to prepare for the energy transition.
