Outside, people are enjoying the sun. Inside, in parliament, MPs listen to Prime Minister Frieden, who is giving his second State of the Nation address. Some people would probably prefer to sit in the sun, but you can't skip the state of the nation.

The CSV Prime Minister may still come across as a kind of stiff-chested head teacher and top of the class, but that doesn't stop him from being very enthusiastic about himself and his policies and starting his 39-page speech with a lot of self-praise.

Want an example? This government has committed itself to a high-performance economic policy, a targeted social policy, an ambitious energy policy and a modern social policy, and progress has been made on all of these points, according to Luc Frieden: "Eis Versprieche sinn net Versprieche bliwwen. Se si Realitéit ginn" (Our promises have not remained promises. They have become reality, ed).
