More and more people are switching to a vegan diet. Some include their offspring in the process, which often leads to criticism. The Lëtzebuerger Journal met a couple and a mother who raise their children vegan.

"For a long time, I didn't really care about my diet and ate just to eat." In 2017, Tina began to dive more into the subject. For her, too, the path did not lead past the well-known Netflix series about veganism. But that was just the beginning. "You start thinking, researching and educating yourself. And then I thought, come on, I'll test if I can be happy and healthy at the same time and live without these products for the sake of animals."

Since January 2018, the 33-year-old has been living completely vegan, just like her husband Claudio, who has beena vegetarian since his early youth. "The way to school led past the butcher in village. That's where I got to see a lot", as he himself explains. Claudio never particularly liked meat, he says, so it's not surprising that he eventually gave it up altogether. "My circle of friends expanded over time, I got to know people who were very concerned with the subject. That was back then at the Kulturfabrik, the old slaughterhouse. It was kind of safe house for people who were trying to make the world a better place."
