"Then I guess I'm a cunt"

Shania Kraemer is 26 years old and comes from Dudelange. She has lots of piercings, lots of tattoos, and she is really super likeable, yes: super friendly. She wears a T-shirt by the German rapper SSIO, who likes to provoke with his sexist lyrics and who she recently saw in Cologne, which brings us to the topic of the day. Shania is no stranger to provocative lyrics herself. Nevertheless, she seems surprised by just how much attention her music and lyrics have attracted in Luxembourg in recent months.

Before the interview, however, there is a short photo shoot to take care of, as an article like this needs illustrating. In front of the camera, Shania is calm, controlled and relaxed. She knows what she's doing. After all, she modelled for five years. In 2019, she even came second in the "Miss & Mister Grande Région" competition. She currently works as a lighting technician, having previously studied photography at the Lycée des Arts et Métiers.

Her interest in music started early. "I've always loved singing along to songs. At some point, I began posting these cover songs on social media, which went down well. Three or four years ago, I was contacted by Tun Tonnar, who asked me if I would like to record songs with him. At the time, I said no because I couldn't really imagine it, because I didn't have the courage. At the beginning of last year, Tun asked me again, and this time I said yes straight away. I had always been convinced that it must be super cool to have your own songs and have other people vibe to them. I also always try to understand what's hidden in the lyrics. I like it when people play with words."
