The parcel war is also playing out in Luxembourg

As in the rest of Europe, the parcel market has exploded in the Grand Duchy over the past decade. As a result, it is attracting more and more delivery companies - despite limited profitability.
What was life like before the golden age of e-commerce that we know today? Even 15 years ago, it was relatively rare to send or receive a parcel. Children sent to holiday camps or scout camps would receive a parcel with a few sweets and a thoughtful note from their parents. Housewives or women in a hurry would order a few items of clothing from a mail-order catalogue. If you weren't at home – teleworking was still unimaginable – you had to go to Post to pick up your parcel, and the opening hours weren't always convenient. The same applied to sending a parcel, for which you had to buy the cardboard container at the post office before returning there to frank and send it. A procedure that seems unbearable now that we think about it, and unimaginable for generation Z (born at the dawn of the year 2000).
