Unlike most other parties, Fokus and KPL are not aiming for mayoralty on 11 June. They would be satisfied with one or two seats in the municipalities in which they are running. For Fokus, however, these are the first elections ever.

In the run-up to the local elections, we visited almost all political parties in the past weeks to talk to them about the upcoming elections. With the emphasis on almost, because we have not yet been to the still very young Fokus party and the not-so-young KPL, at least in this context, but we have now made up for that.

Fokus: More participation

At Fokus we spoke with party president Marc Ruppert, who is also their top candidate in the capital, and with Tatevik Manukyan, the ex-wife of party founder Frank Engel, who is also running in Luxembourg City. We met them both in Limpertsberg, where Ruppert has lived for several years and works as a secondary school teacher.
