Lena Rocca: Between catwalk, lab and stage

Lena Rocca is three minutes late. That wouldn't really be worth mentioning if we hadn't arranged to meet at 11.11 a.m. on 11 November – because of the repdigit time on a repdigit date. As you know, our German neighbours start the so-called fifth season at 11.11 am on 11 November. Not that we have a special relationship with carnival, but if we've already coincidentally scheduled our conversation for 11 November, then we might as well meet at 11.11 am.

Of course, we can forget about the "Alaaf und Helau" (traditional festive calls during Carnival parades in parts of the Rhineland, ed.) at 11.15 a.m., but since we couldn't care less about carnival anyway, a simple "Moien" is enough before we set off to take the photos for this portrait.

For a change, the weather is good for this time of year and the sky is clear: almost perfect conditions for a photo shoot with Lena Rocca, who mainly acts as a model on social media and participates in the whole thing routinely and with a lot of fun.

The 26-year-old is not just a model, but a real jack-of-all-trades, namely a passionate singer, World Cup-tested e-gamer, enthusiastic rider and budding biologist. After completing her bachelor's degree in biology in Cologne, she is currently studying for her master's degree in biology in Aachen, specialising in medical life science.
