"NotOneMoreVet" (NOMV) wants to draw attention to the dark side of the veterinary profession. In an interview with the Lëtzebuerger Journal, a veterinarian practising in Luxembourg and a Luxembourger studying in Vienna talk about their experiences. Both women have one thing in common - they want to raise awareness.
The wellbeing of animals is their top priority and they are often the last resort: veterinarians. The fluffy companions are gladly entrusted to them. Meanwhile, there is an organisation that wants to draw attention to the increased risk of suicide in this profession. Never heard of it? So far, this issue has received little or no public attention, at least not in Luxembourg. Nevertheless, it is a sad reality, Dr Caroline Mousel tells us.
