Climate bonus for e-bikes and more: The wait is almost over

Thousands of people have been waiting for months for the payment of the climate bonus subsidy for bicycles and electric cars. In the meantime, Parliament has created the legal basis so that the funds can soon be released. However, doubts are growing as to whether the government will achieve its goal of electrifying half of the vehicle fleet by 2030.
Anyone who has purchased a bicycle or electric vehicle in the past six months and applied for a state subsidy (see info box) can soon hope to receive the grant. This Wednesday, Parliament created the legal basis for the continuation of the "Mobility Climate Bonus" from July 2024. That's how long the applications have been piling up in the environmental administration.
