Michèle Wolter is Luxembourg's Chief Nursing Officer. As the voice of the 23 regulated healthcare professions in the Ministry of Health, she plays a central role in nursing policy. Her role is to promote healthcare professions, influence strategic decisions and drive forward reforms.

When Michèle Wolter was appointed Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at the Ministry of Health four years ago, her role was still little known. Today, she is a central figure in Luxembourg's healthcare system. She represents the 23 regulated healthcare professions in Luxembourg at the Ministry of Health. As she tells us this, she sits opposite us in a light-flooded conference room of the Ministry on the Cloche d'Or. She is prepared: In front of her is a pile of notes marked in blue.

In concrete terms, this means that various interest groups can approach her with their questions about the nursing and care professions. Michèle Wolter is involved in strategic decisions in the care sector. It is then her job to incorporate the interests brought to her attention into decision-making processes.
